Male Infertility

A male diagnosed with azoospermia may be offered multiple testicular biopsies to determine if sperm is present in the testicular tissue. If sperm is found then ICSI treatment may be suggested.

If any of the results do not fall within the normal ranges, it could suggest a reason for couples infertility. However, these figures are not absolute, as semen quality can change with each sample. It is advisable to have two semen samples analysed, at least three months apart, to compare samples.

In addition, screening tets will be performed for HIV, Hepatitis B and C.
