Kapers never ever ever apologize for your joy. I for one need to see a little of that joy or I would lose faith completely.

Morning all,

I can't believe I missed your update Laurs- congratulations hon! How are you feeling today?

Last night hubby and I took a pic of our pregnancy positive stick and told my parents and siblings. It was so funny watching them trying to work out what they were looking at! MY brother in law got it first of all people :) Was really nice to have everyone so excited for us. Mostly only my mum knows what a struggle it has been but it was so amazing to see my sister cry and then text me this morning saying how happy and excited she is for me. I guess I needed all this to help it sink it that this is real.

No morning sickness today like there was yesterday, thankfully! I took the nurses advice and went for the dry toast and orange juice. Seems to have done the ticket. Need to graze she says, so am packing a snack (I never snack!!!!!) to take to sewing class with me. Seems so funny to me :) Can't stop smiling and laughing.

Still dreading telling work though.

Thanks for your words Ginnie. They touched my heart. You are one courageous special amazing woman.

Swaps I think I've gotten you all confused :P Let me try again. I had 3 day old embryo's put back inside me on the 22nd Feb. My blood test to confirm my pregnancy was for the 12th March. Hope that clears it up :)

Has anyone got the Kaz Cooke 'UP THE DUFF" book? It is awesome! Great info and she's funny to boot!!!! One thing i liked is she wrote it while pregnant and so it's very detailed about stuff we're going to forget once the baby comes. It's inspired me to keep a journal/story of my pregnancy. Hers starts with her thoughts about why she wants to get pregnant and an inventory of who she is and what she does for work, for fun etc. Thought it'd be great for passing time in our 2 WW's if we did something like this. What do you think Fee and Swaps? Something to keep us going??? I'm buying a book today to start. :D

Hey all

Ive just come across this forum on one of my many searches for information on ICSI. I seem to find enough information on how the procedure is done, but nothing on the actual realities of what its like to go through it. So would really appreciate any information that can be shared. My first cycle was abandoned last week and now have to wait another few months before i can start again. I dont think the reality of it has sunk in for me yet. Sorry im not even sure how a forum works!

hi kapers!!!! i got u right but when u say that u r 4 weeks pregnant then i get confused. anyway it means that u already feel symptoms in ur 2ww isn't it? i m really happy for u, so enjoy the baby dust. i m very happy for u.

Laurs u r ahead of us all, i suppose. so any suggestions from ur side coz i need that at this very crucial time.

Ginnie how r u? stay in touch.

well i wanna tell u something guys that i do not feel anything serious at this time, no ache anywhere except the back pain at night time, feeling heaviness all the time in stomach and lower side, nothing prominent, today is my 12th or 11th day after ET. any comments, please do so coz i need that.

As Kapers feel something and did the morning wee test, so do i go for that coz period due date is 15th????????????? :(

Well 1st timer u joined the right place, welcome, but right now we all r in the process or just completed the process. whatever u wanna know feel free to ask. i am also new in this forum and everyone welcomes me. they all r very nice and provide u helping hand in this.

one more thing at this time i think i m asking too many questions and u people r busy. i m free totally. u know i m computer engg by profession and teaching in an engg college as asst professor. i m workaholic so it is totally difficult for me take rest and stay in the home the whole day. my hubby is also taking very good care of me but he is very busy coz he has his export business. i do not have the habit of watching TV serials, anyway now i tried my best to do the same, doc asked me not to drive and no to go for too many stairs. so we went to some park, in evening and its Saturday so we will go for some shopping in malls if he comes early, otherwise dinner will be sure.

give me ur suggestions and share ur views and exp.

bye i think that's more than enough.
BFN.

Hey all

Kapers don't be silly i just cannot wait until its me in your position in 5 months time i am soo excited for you xx Keeping a diary seems a good idea then you can go back in years time and read it and you never know it could benefit daughter or in law. Kapers did you think accupuncture helped ?? Would you reccommend it?

Hi Kapers - Never had a blood test myself so don't have any idea about levels but hospital seem very happy so I bet it seems a bit more real doesn't it!!!? Just have a read back a few weeks before when you and hubby were going through a bad patch and you weren't sure where you were going, so glad I kicked you up the backside coz girl your preggers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Ginnie - Been thinking of you a great deal, how are things hun? x

Clasha - How's you? Any idea when your first scan is? x

Fee - Hello, can't wait till you're on this mad journey with us! x

Swaps - You need to test when clinic tells you to test so do it on that day. Even if your period is normally due on the 15th, doesn't mean it will come as the fertility treatment can mess it around a bit so just do it on your test date. I just felt dizzy and crampy in my 2ww but like I said before, some women feel nothing at all and are pregnant so don't worry. When do you test? If you get a positive result then you are 4 wks pregnant from that date x

1st timer - Hi where you from? Fertilityfriends.co.uk is a perfect site for you, go into message board and then there are loads of forums in there, one is inbetween cycles, cancelled cycles etc - all perfect for you and women going through exactly the same x

I'm okay, got my little gorgeous girl cuddled next to me and watching Pepper Pig, ladies you all have this to come! x

Thankyou all for the welcome messages. Im from Scotland. The doctor told me that my period would come 2-3 weeks after stopping treatment. Mine has arrived 3 days after stopping, is this normal? In one way im kind of excited it has come because it hopefully means that i will be starting the next cycle earlier than i first thought. But on the other hand im worried that it has come to soon! Has anyone had similar experience?

After reading a few posts previous it seems like you guys have built up a great friendship, thankyou for welcoming me into it. Huge congratulations to all those who are pregnant and have had and hopefully i can be there to help support everyone too.

I am from scotland also and had my treatment abandoned 1 time, can i ask you why your treatment was abandoned, also i got my period a couple of days after the decision was made and it was a pain free perood for some reason. my 1st time was abandoned due to ovarion hyperstimulation syndrome. What clinic in scotland do you go to??

Hi everyone else had my 1st accupuncture today, stil not to sure what to think of it but will go with the flow for the momment.

Good morning all,

I go to bed early these days and wake up early. Amazing how the body just knows what it is doing. I've taken up snacking and it seems to be keeping the sickness at bay. Hubby is being so super helpful, doing the washing, cleaning, vaccuuming, shopping! I remember our hard times and i know there will be others but I have to rememebr these good times as well :) Your kick up the butt Laurs was supremely well timed ;)

Fee I do recommend acupuncture because of a few reasons. I never felt like it was doing anything but looking back I can honestly say
1) I felt more relaxed and supported
2) I had less symptoms in regards to the medication - was not as sick or moody as the time before
3) She is also a mid wife and answered a lot of my questions
4) She helped cleanse me of unwanted toxins a lot easier than I had done it myself (ie. coffee)
Also Lea will be continuing our treatments preparing my body for birth. I can only see it as a good thing.

Welcome 1st timer! Another Scot to the pot. I'm Scottish but over in Australia so my treatment, meds and timings are a lot different here and there to you UK guys. I hope you get the support you are looking for here, cause I sure did!

Swaps what Laurs said is true, the doctors count you 4 weeks pregnant from your confirmed pregnancy date. So for me that was my blood test. I know confusing right?! But in that book I recommended she explains how they get to that number and it's actually really straight forward. So there has to be other stuff you could read if you are interested.
Swaps I felt for SURE i was having my period and i had NO real symptoms of pregnancy. Although I kept looking. It disappointed me that I didn't but in fact that is more normal than having them and look whats happened to me!!! SO chin up and keep those positive feelings/thoughts going.

clasha and ginnie - huge hugs.

Hi Fee

On my baseline scan i had one dominant follicle that was about 1cm, when i next got scanned this follicle was over 3cm. There were no other follicles so they up'd my dose and rescanned me 5 days later. This time the 'follicle' was nearly 6cm and still no other follicles were showing. They reckoned that this follicle dominated all the drugs and grew into a cyst. So they wanted me to stop all treatment and when i have my second period im to have a blood test and let them know what the results are, all being well then we start again. They cant guarentee that this wont happen again though. I go to Ninewells clinic, which one do you go to? Can acupuncture help?

hi all
now only 2 more full days left. i don't know, this time i m so afraid that i think that if it is BFN then i'll not go for the next cycle. how much pressure and tension to handle i don't know. in my home loads of guest are there. no relaxation from last 2 days. mind is also not relaxed. guest are also so boring, that they can't understand that they are not welcome in my home. don't know what to do. how to tell these people that doc said to relax and to be tension free. ,,,,

Kapers and Laurs yesterday i had some little cramp in my lower abdomen. i don't know what will happen. my fingers are crossed. feeling very low at this time, feeling like if u people are here at least i can cry and hug u for a while. so that i can feel relaxed for some time. the whole night was hell yesterday.

praying to god that please for ur sake help me this time. no other thoughts come in my mind.

pray for me ladies, feeling so low that while typing tears came in my eyes. wish u people were here.

bye for now.

hey swaps tried to message you as we were online at the same time, but this isn't really a good program for that kind of connection. I'm sorry to hear you have unwelcome guests in your home and that it is a stressful time for you. Remember that although doctor says relax that stress is also normal and a little wont hurt. I am praying for you and all the women on this site. Keep hanging in there - Huge hug. xx
