Study Group, Volunteers Needed. Swansea, South Wales.

In the spring of 2009 an Unexplained Infertility study group will be formed at Beyond Hypnosis, an advanced hypnotherapy centre near Mumbles, Swansea.
The Centre owner, Elizabeth Thomas, is seeking volunteers to engage in a structured research program. Participants will undertake a varied strategy of Analytical and Clinical Group Hypnotherapy integrated with CBT, Guided Imagery, NLP and/or EFT. Nutrition, Diet, Supplements, and Exercise in relation to infertility will form the basis of discussions and workshops. No medical, pharmacological or invasive treatment methods will be employed at any time during the study by any staff member or associate of Beyond Hypnosis.
Although at this time the exact parameters for the syllabus have not been agreed it is anticipated that the group will meet for two hours once a month for six to twelve months and that an in depth, one to one interview be held with each participant at the end of the period or when pregnancy occurs, which ever take places first.
Eligibility would include;
Both partners having completed a full medical evaluation of their fertility;
Male partners being available to attend at least three sessions at agreed stages of the program.
All candidates for the study to be interviewed for their suitability.
No volunteers will be charged for any activities within the agreed study criteria.
No payment of fees, bursaries or expenses will be made to participants, their carers and/or dependants;
All professional confidentiality protocols will be followed regarding participants whilst strict observance of the Hypnotherapy Code of Ethics and Data Protection Legislation adhered to.
Aggregate information from the study will be included in Elizabeth's PhD.
