Can we have donor insemination on the NHS?

Can we have donor insemination on the NHS?

Postby pickles177 » Sun May 31, 2009 9:18 pm

My fiance is a lot older than me and had his children years ago - we have now got together and would like to have a family together but unfortunateyl he had an unreversible vasectomy. We are now investigating the possibily of using donor insemation but I am unsure how to even go about investigating this option and whether we would be able to have this on the NHS - can anyone offer any guidance ?

We are in exactly the same situation. We tried to get reversal on NHS and not able, plus it probably wouldn't work now as 9yrs now. We are just beginning to look into sperm donation so are new to looking into this and not really sure where to go for support. I hadn't thought about the NHS?
