Ovarian drilling?

Postby pinklady27 » Fri Mar 19, 2010 7:41 pm

I have just been to see my fertility doctor and he has said that i have severe polycystic overies due to over stimulation by clomiphene. He has said that ovarian drilling is needed to clearout and " restart " my overies. How invasive is this procedure and what are the success rates from this ?

Sorry for the delay in replying. It is an invasive procedure i.e a laparoscopy and the ovary is then drilled to try and get it to ovulate 'normally'. It does have a good success rate but you would need to check with your consultant as to your hospitals success rates.

Good luck
